Baitak proposed to nationalize energy complexes and remove the post of prime minister

Astana. December 2. KazTAG - The new Kazakh party Baitak, which is going to participate in the upcoming elections to the Majilis, has proposed to nationalize energy complexes and remove the post of a prime minister.
“Does Kazakhstan need a prime minister, does it need a prime minister's office? We believe that no, only financiers are sitting there. All ministries should report directly to the president,” said Azamatkhan Amirtay, leader of the Baytak party.
In his opinion, this would speed up decision-making on many urgent issues. He referred to the example of the American system, which works effectively without a prime minister. The leader of the Baitak party also said that his political association is in favor of the nationalization of energy complexes.
“Today, energy complexes are mostly owned by local or foreign oligarchs. What is the problem here? The local executive body cannot influence them. Ekibastuz is the result of this. Therefore, nationalization is necessary. The government should at least have a share in such enterprises, be on the board of directors and conduct a technical audit,” Azamatkhan Amirtay added.
