Baiterek project is targeted on refusal from Proton using heptyl - Tokayev

Astana. June 3. KazTAG - Baiterek project is targeted on refusal from Proton operating on heptyl, said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, in the interview to Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper.
"The target of the joint project Baiterek is creation of the rocket-space complex for delivery of space vehicles on ecologically safe carriers which will replace Proton rocket using toxic fuel (heptyl)," said Tokayev.
In his word, Kazakhstani-Russian interaction in the space field and joint development of the city of Baikonur is "an example of multifaceted cooperation of Kazakhstan and Russia".
