Baseless Constitution amendments led to family and clan rule in Kyrgyzstan - Atambayev

Almaty. May 5. KazTAG - Baseless Constitution amendments led to corrupt family and clan rule in Kyrgyzstan  , said President Almazbek Atambayev .

According to KyrTAG , A.Atambayev congratulating people on the  Constitution Day , noted that the adopted Constitution " On May 5, 1993  became a symbol of the revival of the Kyrgyz statehood."

" That time it seemed that the worst was over , and  people's lives would change quickly for the better. But (...) frequent and unwarranted changes of the Constitution led to corrupt family and clan rule in Kyrgyzstan, violation of fundamental rights and freedoms of citizens ", he said.

Since the adoption of the Constitution on May 5, 1993it was amended five times ( in February 2003 , November 2006 , December 2006 , October 2007 and June 2010) .

In addition , currently the Government is considering amendments to the labor code , which  will cancel holidays on February 23 , May 5 and November 7.
