Beisenbayev replaced Abdrakhimov at post of Shymkent akim
Almaty. July 31. KazTAG - Askar Beisenbayev has been appointed as akim of Shymkent, reports Otyrar.kz.
"By the order of the head of state Askar Beisenbayev has been appointed as akim of Shymkent," reads the message.
Prior to the appointment Beisenbayev worked as Senate deputy from 2013, in 2008-2013 he headed the representation of the president in the Parliament, in 2007-2008 he worked as Majilis deputy.
Gabidulla Abrdakhimov was akim of Shymkent from June 2018.
Not long ago Abrakhimov posted in Instagram a video where walking along the streets of London
he named the city "as the world's capital", he also said that people of Kazakhstan must live and work in Kazakhstan and travel around the world. Many people of Kazakhstan criticized the statement of the ex akim saying that many of them cannot afford travelling around the world even if they work for this for all their life. A photo appeared on the Internet showing a woman of European nationality in a swimsuit lying on a yacht near a man who looks like Abdrakhimov, in the caption she wrote the man is her husband.
