Beketayev reprimanded for his comment about authorities of Tokayev and Nazarbayev - Karin
Almaty. November 1. KazTAG - Marat Beketayev, Minister of Justice, has been reprimanded for his comment about the authorities of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, and Nursultan Nazarbayev, First President, said Yerlan Karin, advisor to the head of state in the interview to Radio Azattyq.
"Despite the fact that he did no apology (for the incorrect comment-KazTAG) on the same day there was a session where he was reprimanded," he said.
He also answered the question if Tokayev can disband the Security Council in compliance with the first Article of the law on the Security Council.
"Sure. The one who forms can disband it," he said.
Tokayev signed law amendments extending the authority of the Security Council in staff appointment on October 21. Beketayev said that the Security Council says the final word in the staff appointment.
Berik Uali, spokesman of the president, said the comment was incorrect.
"I think the comment of the Minister of Justice was incorrect. Probably he gave the incorrect interpretation because he was at a loss in front of the journalists," said Uali.
