Belarus Committee of State Safety prevented an attempt to hijack a plane

Almaty. June 10. KazTAG - Belarus Committee of State Safety prevented an attempt to hijack a plane en route from Kutaisi to Minsk.
"The commander of the crew was sent a note with a bomb threat and requirement to change the flight path to one of the European countries,"- said in a statement posted on the official website of the Belarusian CSS.
As informed there were 32 passengers, including one child, and 4 crew members on the board.
Reportedly, at 6.50 am the plane landed at the National Airport "Minsk", after which the hijacker was arrested.
"Initial preparations for suppression of illegal actions carried hijacker service aviation security regime and the airport together with the police on air transport. Representatives of the CSS and the counter-terrorism group "A" boarded an airliner and entered into negotiations with a person who passed a note. The negotiations resulted in the offender agreed to leave the plane and voluntarily surrendered to CSS officers ", - stated in a press release.
Reportedly, the hijackers turned 41-year-old Georgian citizen. He is taken to criminal case under Part 2 st.311 (theft or seizure for the purpose of hijacking) of the Criminal Code.
