Budget deficit to GDP to be lowered to 1.4% by 2020

Astana. April 17. KazTAG - According to the concept of new budget policy, budget deficit will be lowered to 1.4% to the GDP by 2020, said Yerbolat Dosayev, Minister of Economy and Budget Planning.

"The deficit of state budget will lower to 1.4% of GDP by 2020, that will retain the state debt at the moderate level- not more than 13.9% of the GDP by 2020," he said at the Governmental hour.

He reminded it is planned to reduce the budget deficit to GDP from 2.4% in 2014 to 1.9% in 2016.

Earlier, answering the questions of journalists, the Minister said that the specified budget deficit will make up 2.3% to GDP in 2014.
