Bus crash leaves numerous victims at Korday
Taraz. April 22. KazTAG - Bus crash has left numerous victims at Korday, reports the police department of the Zhambyl region.
"There were 49 people on the bus, including 15 citizens of Uzbekistan and 5 citizens of Tajikistan. Three citizens of Uzbekistan have died, others are in hospital. Two citizens of Uzbekistan and one citizen of Tajikistan have been discharged from hospital," said the police department.
According to the health care department of the Zhambyl region, 11 people died and 41 were injured in the crash.
"30 people are getting medical aid. 19 victims are staying in hospital," said the department.
Toyota Camry collided with a lorry on April 20 at about 05.55 in the Korday district of Zhambyl region of Almaty-Tashkent motorway. The bus driving on the motorway rolled over in the attempt to avoid collision with the vehicles. 11 people died and 29 were injured.
The Ministry of Interior Affairs said 8 citizens of Kazakhstan and 3 citizens of Uzbekistan died in the crash.
