"The bus driver has been arrested for 1 month," reads the statement.
The accident took place on the intersection of Tole bi and Otegen batyr streets. According to the witnesses, the bus N126 was driving eastwards down Tole bi street when it approached the junction the woman stepped into the road and was hit by the bus. She died on the scene. The woman was aged 24.
