Canada attacked positions of «Islamic state»
Almaty. November 3. KazTAG - Canadian air forces took part, first time, in a military campaign against the terrorist group «Islamic state» (IS).
Two fighters CF-18 dropped bombs on the positions of militants not far from Iraqi city of Fallujah and returned to the air base in Kuwait, informs the Associated Press citing Defense Minister of Canada Rob Nikolson.
Canada involved, for the military operation, six fighter jets CF-18 and two reconnaissance aircrafts CP-140 Aurora and one aerial tanker Airbus CC-150 Polaris, as well as 600 Canadian servicemen. On October 3 the Prime Minister of Canada Steven Harper announced that the country would be involved in the military operation against IS in Iraq.
