Canada suspends micro-satellite dispatch due to situation in Ukraine
Almaty. April 28. KazTAG - Canadian Government has suspended dispatch of M3M satellite for launch with "Soyuz" due to the situation in Ukraine, reports rbc.ru.
"The Government of Canada suspended dispatch of M3M satellite to Kazakhstan planned to be launched with "Soyuz" in June, referring to the actions of Russia in Ukraine," said Peter de Selding, space expert in his Twitter blog.
"Taking in account current situation in Ukraine, we negotiated with the Canadian Government concerning potential delay of M3M launch and plans for neutralization of consequences following any delays," reports The Wall Street Journal citing Michael Pley, general director of COM DEV International which created the satellite on the contract with Canadian space agency.
