“On September 17 at 12.40 on the Aktobe-Astrakhan highway, a Volkswagen Sharan car driven by a 27-year-old man was stopped. During the check, a service-search dog named Bruno found a plastic bag with a green plant-based substance with a specific smell under the passenger seat," reports the police department.
The substance was more than 1 kg in weight.
“The 35-year-old passenger of the car admitted that the seized narcotic substance belongs to him. He bought it from a resident of the Mugalzhar region. Further, the police discovered an illegal cannabis plantation on the banks of the Emba River in the thickets. The police seized 99 hemp bushes. The examination showed that the seized substances and bushes were narcotic," reads the report.
