Car of activist from Zhanaozen set on fire before congress of Democratic party

Zhanaozen. February 17. KazTAG - The car of Muratbay Zhumagaliyev, activist from Zhanozen, was set on fire before the assembly of Democratic party, he puts the blame on the  authorities, said Zhanbolat Mamay, leader of the party.
"Unknown people set fire on the car of Muratbay Zhumagaliyev, activist of created Democratic party from Zhanaozen, tonight at 1.00 am. He had reported about surveillance and even posted police cars which chased him. He believes that it might have been done by the authorities who aspire to prevent their participation in the upcoming congress of the Democratic party on February 22," said Mamay.
The initiators of creation of the Democratic party of Kazakhstan are going to file a lawsuit against Marat Beketayev, Minister of Justice, and against the Ministry of Justice if "they are prevented from organization of the founding congress of the party.
According to Mamay, "now the members of the initiative group are under pressure, while the list of members was submitted only to the Ministry of Justice".
