"A citizen of Kazakhstan born in 1978 was detained on March 14 at Khorgos checkpoint who was travelling in Toyota Prado towards the international center of border cooperation. In the time of inspection frontier guards discovered 16 cartridges inside the right door," reads the message.
The car has been taken to the parking lot of the customs service.
Investigation is under way.
