CAS cancelled temporary disqualification of Vishnevskaya from competitions on suspicion of doping use
Almaty. March 6. KazTAG - The Arbitrage Sports Court has cancelled temporary disqualification of Kazakhstani biathlete Galina Vishnevskaya from the competitions on suspicion of doping use, reports the International Biathlon Union.
"CAS has decided to satisfy the claim on temporary measures filed by Kazakhstani athlete Galina Vishnevskaya. The International Biathlon Union must cancel the temporary disqualification. Thus, the athlete has the right for registration in IBU competitions," reads the message.
The application on temporary measures filed by Kazakhstani biathlete Darya Klimina-Usanova was rejected by CAS.
As it was reported, nine Kazakhstani athletes were temporarily dismissed from the competitions on November 22 2018 due to anti-doping investigation held in January 2017 (Galina Vishnevskaya, Alina Raikova, Darya Klimina-Usanova, Olga Poltoranina, Yan Savitskiy, Maxim Brown, Anna Kistanova, Anton Pantov and Vasiliy Podkorytov).
