Almaty. December 9. KazTAG - China plans to develop and test a heavy launcher by 2030, reports the Chinese newspaper "China Daily".
"We hope to complete the development in the nearest 15 years, the large launch vehicle will make the first flight in approximately 2030," said Ley Fanpey, head of air space company CASC.
The carrying capacity of the rocket will make up 130 tons.
"The strongest rocket carrier is needed to send astronauts to the moon. The rocket will be able to lift 130 tons to the orbit. It will implement the space missions of China in the period between 2030 and 2050 strengthening the position of China in space exploration and technologies," said the newspaper.
In addition China plans to launch a rover to Mars in 2020.
