CIS border services launch data exchange electronic system on situation at borders
Almaty. October 16. KazTAG - The frontier guards of CIS have launched a data exchange electronic system about the situation at the borders, report Russian mass media sources.
"This system is functioning today, it has been launched by seven states of the Commonwealth border services," said Alexander Manilov, deputy head of the border service of FSC of Russia.
In his words the system is working in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, and Tajikistan. It may be launched in Uzbekistan in the near future.
The decision on the system installation was taken by the Council of CIS leaders.
"It exchanges information about the situation at the borders in real time. It shows the activity of all the CIS border departments," said Manilov.
