Citizen of Kazakhstan deceased on Kyrgyz border has criminal records for trespassing - NSC

Astana. January 30. KazTAG - A citizen of Kazakhstan deceased in the incident on the border with Kyrgyzstan had a criminal record for border trespassing, said Darkhan Dilmanov, deputy chairman NSC Kazakhstan.
Kyrgyz border guards attempted to detain three trespassers who were over landing 10 horses from Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan on January 23 at Zhasorken checkpoint. In the time of detention the  violators resisted using cold weapons. In this situation, Kyrgyz border guards used weapons. As a result, one of the violators received a gunshot wound. The remaining two  with horses escaped in the territory of Kazakhstan. Later, a wounded border intruder, a citizen of Kazakhstan, died while being transported to hospital.
“We conducted investigation together with our colleagues and border guards. The investigation involved the government agencies, both from our side and from the adjacent side - this is the military prosecutor's office, and the Interior Ministry of both sides, ” said D. Dilmanov.
According to him, all three violators are citizens of Kazakhstan. “Two were previously prosecuted for violating the state border. They illegally went to the territory of Kyrgyzstan several times. Both were conditionally sentenced to six months - the one who died, and another  detainee," he added.
