Citizen of Kazakhstan detained in Moscow on suspicion of attack on head of Russian CEC - MFA

Astana. September 10. KazTAG - Bakhyt Karabalayev has been detained in Moscow on suspicion of attack on Ella Pamfilova, head of the Central Electoral Commission of Russia, said Aibek Smadyarov, official representative of the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan.
"A judicial hearing was held in Basmann court on September 9 which ruled out to take Bakhyt Karabalayev, born in 1983, into custody until November 6. After the court, there was a consular meeting with Karabalayev who said he has no claims, and does not need a translator, a lawyer has been provided to him," he said.
Karabalayev was detained on September 7 on suspicion of a crime under p.3 art.162 (robbery and break into a house).
"Karabalayev is suspected of attack on Ella Pamfilova, head of Russian CEC in her country house," he said.
Ella Pamfilov was attacked at night on September6. In her words, an unknown man broke into her house in Ister and attacked her with an electric shocker.
