Citizen of Kazakhstan running over child in South Korea may be sentenced to up to five years imprisonment

Astana. October 22. KazTAG - The citizen of Kazakhstan running over a child in South Korea may be sentenced to up to five years imprisonment, said Aibek Smadyarov, official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
"Our consular met the investigator. He met our citizen twice. He has been charged for leaving the scene of the accident, violation of obligations of transport registration, failure to get an insurance policy and driving without a driving license. Totally, according to the Korean side, he may be sentenced to five years imprisonment, or pay certain fines," he said.
"There is no pressure on him from the side of investigation. Initially a state lawyer from South Korea has been provided for him, now he is considering an option of a private lawyer. The embassy is providing assistance in search of the lawyer. The issue is under control of our embassy," he resumed.
The citizen of Kazakhstan ran over  a child in South Korea and escaped on September 20. The man was in search in Pavlodar, later he voluntarily returned to South Korea.
