Civil aviation committee suspends flights of "InvestAvia"
Astana. December 3. KazTAG - The flights of air company "InvestAvia" have been postponed until the company eliminates the revealed violations, said Beken Seidakhmetov, chairman of the civil aviation committee of the Ministry of Investments and Development.
"We have decided to suspend the operator certificate since December 2, while the materials on this fact have been transferred to the main transport prosecutor's office," he said.
In his words, the aviation authorities of Canada have provided a directive of air worthiness for exploitation of Bombardier CRJ 200. All the air companies were supposed to follow the directive using this type of aircraft.
"This directive concerns the air worthiness, it is a technical requirement the company must follow," he said.
In his words, the InvestAvia company failed to comply with the directive presenting a letter from the Bombardier company stating it would expand the directive for 6 months.
"From our side we sent a request to the Bombardier company. The company did not confirm authenticity of this letter (...) under falsification of the presented document, it refers to the first level of violation, we have right to suspend or withdraw the operator’s certificate," he resumed.
He added the committee negotiated with the department of tourism, tourist company "Pegasus Kazakhstan" and Kazakhstani air companies, thus tourists won't have problems with flights.
"Our air companies have enough reserve aircrafts which will fulfill the program of "Pegasus Kazakhstan," he said.
He concluded "InvestAvia" company has 2 Bombardier aircrafts, 4 Fokker 100 and rented Boeing 767.
