Cold snap forecasted in west and north of Kazakhstan on next three days
Astana. February 7. KazTAG - Cold snap is expected in the west and north of Kazakhstan on February 8-10, reports Kaazhydromet.
“Arctic cold air masses will begin to flow to the rear (Black Sea - KazTAG) cyclone and (atmospheric - KazTAG) fronts from the northern seas to Kazakhstan, which will cause drop of temperature in the western and northern regions. On the rest of the territory, the air temperature at weekends will be within 0 + 8, in the south + 10 + 15 reaching up to +20," said the report.
According to the forecast, the Black Sea cyclone will move to Western Kazakhstan in the afternoon on February 7, and in the morning it will reach Northern Kazakhstan and bring snowfall, blizzard and gusty wind.
“The atmospheric fronts associated with the cyclone will shift from west to east, causing snowfalls, blizzards, southwest wind and ice on its way in the southern regions," said the report.
