Construction of firefighting station recommended at Kulzhinskiy tract following plane crash in Almaty suburbs

Almaty. January 29. KazTAG - The public council of Almaty has recommended constructing a firefighting station in the suburbs of Almaty following the plane crash, reports Vremya newspaper.
"The public council has worked out a number of recommendations: construction of a firefighting station at the Kuldzhinskiy tract, to check legality of allocated land areas within the quarters of aerodrome territory, to conduct inventory of residential buildings in this zone, to stop the practice of legalizing construction near the airfield, to establish a clear boundary of the construction zone, to conduct international examination of all aircraft of Kazakhstan’s airlines, and so on. All these recommendations will be sent to the relevant state bodies in the near future," reads the statement.
Speaking at a meeting of the Almaty Public Council, Serik Aubakirov, head of the Emergency Situations Department, said how the rescuers operated at the crash site, while the dispatcher told the emergency department that the plane was off and that additional forces were not required. Nevertheless, fire, rescue, medical units and the police were sent to the crash site - 984 people from various departments and 72 pieces of equipment.
“Passengers say there was no help for 30 minutes,” Rakhman Alshanov, chairman of the public council interrupted the head of the Emergency Situations Committee.
“I am reporting what can be easily verified by the recording of telephone conversations and radio exchanges. Everything has been recorded, ”Aubakirov answered.
