Construction of first plant of modular housing construction launched in Kazakhstan
Astana. September 2. KazTAG - Construction of the first modular housing construction plant has been launched in Kazakhstan, reports the press-service of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
“Askar Mamin (Prime Minister - KazTAG) has launched the first modular housing construction plant in Kazakhstan,” reads the report.
The ModeX modular housing construction plant will be built on the territory of the industrial park No. 1 of the Astana-New City SEZ in Nur-Sultan.
“Modular housing construction is a modern advanced housing technology used in Germany, Singapore, China and other states. It will reduce the cost and time spent on construction, it will make housing more affordable for a wide range of people in Kazakhstan. With this technology, a 16-storey single-entrance house with a fine finish can be built within four months, compared to the usual technology which takes 12-18 months," said the message.
According to Mamin, "the construction sector is the most dynamically developing sector of the economy of Kazakhstan which showed11.5% growth."
“This project will not only increase the availability of housing for the country's population, but also enhance development of the construction industry,” he said.
It is noted that the plant is a project with full localization in Kazakhstan.
