Construction of "Kok Zhailau" resort will not make big negative impact on environment - expert
Almaty. May 6. KazTAG - Construction of "Kok Zhailau" ski resort will not make any significant negative effect on the environment, said Amangeldy Skakov, director of Kazecology.
"Under the routine mode the planned activity for construction and exploitation of ski resort infrastructure will not significantly affect the environment and health of people outside the resort. The effect will be longstanding but admissible according to the ecological requirements," he said.
Lukas Marshand, executive director of "Kok Zhailau" ski resort" added environmental impact is possible only during the construction stage, however it will not exceed limited legislative norms in the exploitation period.
"There will be environmental impact but only on the stage of construction. One our task is to reduce this impact, modern technologies and advanced international experience let us do that. After construction the resort will be oriented on sustainable development and ecology improvement," he said.
