Cooperation of Kazakhstan and France reached level of strategic partnership - Nazarbayev
Astana. December 5. KazTAG - Kazakhstani President Nursultan Nazarbayev has conducted a meeting with Francois Hollande, President of France who is paying a state visit to Kazakhstan, Akorda reports.
"The base of bilateral relations was laid by President of France Francoi Mitteran who was one of first in Europe to recognize the independence of our state and arrived to Kazakhstan in 1993. Since those days our relations have been developing and today they are on the level of strategic partnership. More than 100 French companies are working in Kazakhstan, there are many joint ventures. Dozens of new projects are being developed. We are accompanied by a big group of representatives of business circles. I believe that our meeting will contribute into further promotion of our relations," said Nazarbayev.
Hollande emphasized that his visit is a result of agreement reached during the visit of Kazakhstani President to France in 2012.
