Copper production increased by 1.5% to 99.5 thousand tons in Uzbekistan in 2014
Tashkent. February 19. KazTAG - Almalyk mining combine, the monopoly copper manufacturer of Uzbekistan, increased cathode copper production by 1.5% in 2014 to 99.5 thousand tons.
"We managed to keep the production rates at the level of the previous year, we even increased the production despite unfavorable pricing conjuncture," said a representative of the combine.
In his words, the plant is seeking new sales market in the Asian states on the background of demand drop from the side of traditional consumers- Turkey, EU and Near East.
