Cotton processing plant launched in South Kazakhstan
Shymkent. July 9. KazTAG - Cotton processing plant has been launched in South-Kazakhstan region, reports the official site of region's akimat.
"The new cotton processing plant has been launched in Makhtaaralsk district of South-Kazakhstan region. It has become a good present on the day of Astana for the local dwellers. 150 people found job here," reads the message posted on the site of the regional akimat.
Those people who grow cotton now may process it at the new plant and sell it for higher price. Textilemen of the region will also benefit.
"Eventually it will successfully develop cotton cluster," said the akimat.
The plant is equipped with modern high speed equipment. Up to 450 tons of cotton are processed a day, the annual capacity is planned at 60 000.
