Court refused to release three mothers of many children detained in summer

Almaty. November 14. KazTAG - The district court of Almaty refused to release three mothers of many children detained in summer - Zhazira Demeuova, Gulzipa Dzhaukerova and Oksana Shevchuk, and also civil activist Anuar Ashiraliyev.
The attorneys asked the court to change the measure of restraint into house arrest. The court denied the appeal. The attorneys also said about intimidations and threats in respect of the defendants.
The main hearing will start in Almaty on November 14.
Demeuova, Dzhaukerova and Shevchuk are charged membership in DCK (democratic choice of Kazakhstan, organization banned in Kazakhstan). The women who have minor children (including infants and with disabilities) are charged active preparation to a protest action.
