CPC increased oil export by 24.9% in January-April
Almaty. May 5. KazTAG - The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) exported 12.92 mln tons of oil in January-April 2014, 24.91% up year on year, reports the consortium.
Oil export made up 3.47 mln tons in April against 2.65 mln tons in the same month last year.
The Caspian Pipeline Consortium was established for a pipeline construction and Kazakh oil export transiting the territory of Russia. The CPC controls Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline 1580 km in length which connects the fields of Western Kazakhstan with the Russian Black sea coast.
The CPC shareholders are: Russia (represented by "Transneft" - 24% and CPC company - 7%)- 31%; Kazakhstan (represented by "KazMunayGas" - 19%) and Kazakhstan Pipeline Ventures LLC - 1,75%) – 20,75%; Chevron Caspian Pipeline Consortium Company - 15%, LUKARCO B.V. - 12,5%, Mobil Caspian Pipeline Company - 7,5%, Rosneft-Shell Caspian Ventures Limited - 7,5%, BG Overseas Holding Limited - 2%, Eni International N.A. N.V. - 2% and Oryx Caspian Pipeline LLC - 1,75%.
