Cumulative volume of credit portfolios of commercial banks will grow up by 10% in 2015- Kelimbetov
Astana. February 12. KazTAG - The cumulative volume of credit portfolios of second tier banks will increase by 10% in 2015, said Kairat Kelimbetov, chairman of the National Bank.
"We expect growth of credit portfolio, we would like it to grow up significantly, by more than 10%, but life will show how the economy will develop. I think that 2015 is a crisis bottom, which includes all the negative external shocks which may come true," he said.
In his words, the National Bank will keep on providing long-term liquidity to the banks.
"On the line of the Unified Saving Pension Fund, on the line of swaps provision to the development institutions and international financial institutions, and also on the line of the fund of problematic credits we plan to provide support through second tier banks in terms of long term tenge liquidity provision. Last year we provided such support almost to 2.5 trln tenge," he said.
