Dariga Nazarbayeva believes that press-services of state bodies must be friendly to journalists
Astana. February 21. KazTAG - Senate deputy Dariga Nazarbayeva believes that the press-services of state bodies must be friendly to journalists and indicated poor professional preparation of spokespersons, she said on the sidelines in Senate.
"Take the positions of spokespeople, I believe, the Ministries will be happy. We have discussed this issue many times, press-services must be friendly to journalists, they must know each of them, know their birthdays, for instance, to work with them, report them how the Ministry works, help with information. Press-service exists for it. It is also a mediator between the Ministry, the akimat and the press," she said answering the question about frequently complicated relationships of journalists and press-services.
"Often they do not understand the functions of press-services, the work with preparation of professional press-secretaries is poorly organized, I can say, it hardly exists. I don't know what the principle of recruitment is, but ideally, they must be specialists from mass media field,” she said.
Because they know each other, they know what journalists are interested in, how to provide them with information, how to work correctly. In this case, I think, the quality would improve and there wouldn’t be any disputes," she said.
