Deputies ask MIA to toughen measures for prevention of traffic accidents
Astana. January 9. KazTAG- A group of deputies from the ruling party Nur Otan has filed a request to the Ministry of Interior Affairs asking to take harsher measures in order to reduce the number of traffic accidents.
"The reason for the deputy request is frequent cases of fatal traffic accidents in the state, and numerous traumas," said Pavel Kazantsev, deputy.
"Analyzing the statistics of traffic accidents, there are serious and systematic problems which Kazakhstani public pays attention on," he said.
"We believe that MIA must take measures: to consider the situation with attraction of society and independent expert community, to toughen requirements to educational organizations, exams, procedures for driving licenses registration, reconsider approaches to organization of passenger transportations, it is important to teach drivers counter emergency driving," he said.
According to the statistics, over 2000 people died in traffic accidents in 2018, 20400 people were injured.
