Deputies reported about extortions at the Nur Zholy checkpoint

Astana. November 12. KazTAG - Majilis deputy Meruert Kazbekova reported about extortions at the Nur Zholy checkpoint.
“On the territory of the Dry Port, where about 600 trucks have been relocated, there are no basic conveniences - for example, a week before our arrival, dry closets were removed, entrepreneurs report about the levies introduced by the management of the Dry Port even for the right to feed their drivers who live right there in the trucks. According to them, T30 thousand per car is charged for this," she said.
According to the deputy, businessmen have to pay from 50 000 tenge for the discrepancy between the dimensions of the trucks and the established standards.
“In addition, there are many complaints about the actions of transport control, because even before reaching the customs post, drivers have to go through three additional posts, which measure the dimensions and length of the body according to their own standards, regardless of the manufacturer's standards," she added.
