Deputy declares about no results of "sleeping dropsy" research in Kalachi
Astana. November 19. KazTAG - Majilis deputy Nadezhda Petukhova has asked Prime Minister Karim Massimov to bring to notice absence of research results of case of "sleeping dropsy" in the village of Kalachi in Akmola region.
"The deputy request is addressed to Prime Minister K. Massimov. The reason for the request is morbidity in the settlement of Kalachi for two years. So called “sleeping dropsy", or encephalopathy of unknown etymology," she said.
"Dear Karim Kazhimkanovich, we are asking you to bring to notice the situation in the village of Kalachi, there is still no clear conclusion of authorized state bodies about the cause of so called "sleeping dropsy" despite numerous researches," she said. She reminded the first patient was registered in March 2013.
In her words, 64 people have been affected, 10 repeatedly.
