Deputy proposed to increase youth age in Kazakhstan for housing provision
Astana. February 18. KazTAG - Gulnara Iksanova, Majilis deputy, proposed to increase the age of young people for housing provision to 35.
"As for allocation of housing to young people by three cities with millions of people. We have to be based on the age limit not 29 but 35, as there have been cases when people could not buy out their housing three years after the agreement was signed, as they turned older than 29," she said.
In her words, 34% out of 19 000 flats were provided to the applicants aged under 28 within the frameworks of Nurly Zher program.
“However, there are no complete and updated data on the needs and provision for all youth or young families programs. This information is required for planning problem solving approaches. In addition, it is time to work on the issue of different housing options. This is an affordable mortgage, a hostel not only for students, but also for young workers, office, social housing, housing cooperatives, individual construction," she said.
