Detained ex-deputy Altayev turned out to be defendant in the case of Myrzakhmetov, ex-head of Atameken

Astana. June 8. KazTAG - Former deputy of the Majilis Nurzhan Altayev, who was detained the day before, turned out to be a defendant in the case of Ablay Myrzakhmetov, ex-chairman of the board of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs (NCE) "Atameken".
“The anti-corruption service, following the results of a complex of covert measures, detained ex-vice minister Altayev on suspicion of committing a particularly serious corruption crime. Altayev  is suspected of receiving bribes on an especially large scale on a systematic basis from the chairman of the board of the Atameken NCE Myrzakhmetov when he took a post of vice minister of labor and social protection, and later a deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Occupying responsible government positions in the period 2018-2020, he, acting in the interests of Myrzakhmetov contributed to the receipt of state orders by his organization and provided general patronage, ” reads the statement.
Altayev has been placed in the temporary detention center of the Astana Police Department.
