Astana. May 2. KazTAG - Dozens of people in Nur-Sultan gathered in the streets calling to boycott the election on May 1, reported Radio Azattyk.
"Dozens of people gathered not far from the Astana concert hall in Nur-Sultan calling to boycott the election. "Boycott", "People are tired!", "Government- go away" chanted the protesters. "You can't run away from the truth!" protestors were shouting the words from the banner for which activists Asiya Tulesova and Beibarys Tolymbekov were arrested for 15 days in Almaty on April 21," reads the message.
Security measures were strengthened since early morning in Almaty. People attending the festivities at the Palace of Republic were thoroughly inspected. Fences were installed along the palace territory.
