Driver committing fatal crash in bus stop sentenced in Almaty
Almaty. July 17. KazTAG - Alexander Tipikin, driver committing a fatal crash in the bus stop, has been sentenced in Almaty, reports First Channel Eurasia.
"The culprit of the fatal traffic accident killing mothers of seven children has been sentenced 6.8 years imprisonment. In the near future Alexander Tipikin will be transferred to the medium security jail," reads the message.
He has been withdrawn of the driving license for 10 years and surcharged about 2 mln tenge of damages which he has to pay off during two months.
"6.8 years is a small term. He has already served four months. After six years my younger son will go to the 3rd grade, how will I explain it to him," said Askar Imantayev, husband of the crash victim.
"I think the term is too short. He killed two people. We requested 10 years. I disagree with the ruling," said another widower Kaldybay Yesimkhanov.
As it was reported, the driver who had been deprived of the driving license, being in drunken condition crashed in a bus stop killing two people on March 16 2019 in Almaty.
