Drones production to be launched in Uralsk
Uralsk. February 9. KazTAG - Production of drones is planned to be launched in Uralsk, bringing Kazakhstan to the fourth place producing the pilotless devices in the world.
"In 2006 Kazakhstan declared about intention to develop pilotless aviation. The potentials of the complex of pilotless devices developed by the scientific center of applied electro-dynamics from Yegoryevsk, Moscow region, were demonstrated at the forum involving the heads of Kazakhstan and Russia on September 30. Kazakhstani oil and gas companies showed interest in it. It was decided to adjust the industry in Kazakhstan," said Abay Ryskaliyev, director of "World of Oils" Ltd.
"In December last year our company signed a memorandum on cooperation with "Omega" plant. We agreed to create drones production and servicing on the base of this company. The complete parts will be delivered from Russia. Kazakhstani side will provide assembly. Initially the project will have 20-30% local content, later it will increase," he said.
In his words, drones production will be launched this year.
