Drugs' sale through the internet may be punished with life imprisonment in Kazakhstan
Astana. July 29. KazTAG - Drugs sale through the Internet may be published with life imprisonment in Kazakhstan, reports the Ministry of Interior Affairs.
"The Ministry of Interior Affairs has developed amendments in the criminal legislation strengthening responsibility for the sale of drugs added in the component of crimes qualified by the signs: "offer in the electronic information sources about production, acquisition, storage, transportation for sale of narcotics and psychotropic substances". Taking into account danger of such actions this crime may be punished with life imprisonment from 15 to 20 years or a life term with property confiscation," reads the report.
The agency also proposed to introduce responsibility for inducing people to use of drugs through their promotion.
“For this act, along with alternative punishments, there will be imprisonment for up to four years. If this crime is committed with the help of electronic information sources, then the guilty party will face imprisonment for a term of three to eight years, ” said the report.
The Majilis will consider the amendments after the start of the next session.
