"Drugs police have liquidated a cannabis trafficking channel from the Zhambyl region to Almaty. During two weeks police were tracing a resident of Almaty who stored and sold hashish. A native of Shu was trafficking drugs from the Zhambyl region, who was detained in Baiserke village. Police discovered two polyethene packages with 5 kg of hashish," said the report.
On the same day, a resident of Almaty was detained who was selling the drugs. Police discovered seven kilos of hashish, 12 kg in weight in his house.
Both men were taken to the pre-trial detention facility.
