Duzhnov sentenced to life imprisonment

Almaty. April 27. KazTAG - Almaty shooter Igor Duzhnov has been sentenced to life imprisonment taking into account high danger of offence and  lack of remors, said  the press service of the Almaty City Court.
“The court found Duzhnov guilty of murdering two or more persons, attempted murder, encroachment on the life of law enforcement officers, as well as on the life of a bailiff, obstructing the execution of a court decision and an executive document, participation in an armed conflict (Article 99, part .2 p.p.1),6),24 h.3, 99 h.2 p.p.1),6), 380-1 h.2 p.p.1),5),430 h. 1, 172 of the Criminal Code).
Duzhnov committed a set of pre-planned, deliberate, including especially serious crimes against life. The victims were persons performing their official duties and civilians. At the same time, Duzhnov did not repent of the committed crime,” said the court.
Taking into account the special social danger of the deed and the personality of Duzhnov, the court sentenced him to life imprisonment in the institutions of the penitentiary system of emergency security.
