EAEU and Egypt successfully completed first round of negotiations on free trade
Almaty. January 18. KazTAG - The first round on negotiations on agreement conclusion on free trade has been held in Cairo between the Eurasian Economic Union and Egypt, reports the press-service of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
"Due to beginning of the negotiations Mger Grigoryan, Vice Premier of Armenia, chairman of council of Eurasian Economic Commission, and Veronika Nikishina, member of EEC collegium on trade, was held in Cairo," reads the message.
The parties discussed the basic regulations of the agreement, fixed coordinated positions and designated the schedule of further work. EAEU and Egypt showed readiness to constructive dialogue on the whole spectrum of issues, confirmed their aspiration to develop a full format progressive agreement targeted on qualitative provision of trade planning and transparency of trade regulation.
"The trade agreement will create new opportunities for development and diversification of trade with Egypt. The commodity circulation between EAEU states and Egypt amounted to $5.8 bn within 9 months of 2018, growth amounted to 21.2% year on year," reads the message.
