Almaty. October 9. KazTAG - An earthquake measuring 5.5 has hit 140 km away from Almaty, said Kazakhstani seismologists.
The network of seismic stations recorded an earthquake on October 9 at 3.49. The epicenter was located 140 km eastwards from Almaty on the territory of Kazakhstan. Energy class - 14. Magnitude MPV- 5.5," reads the message.
The epicenter was located on the territory of Kegen district, Almaty region not far from Kegen village at 10 km depth.
The inhabitants of Almaty felt 2 points shocks.
