Earthquake was recorded 35 km from Almaty

Almaty. May 12. KazTAG – An earthquake was registered at 20:35 with epicenter on the border of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, 35 km southwest of Almaty, reports the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
“The network of seismic stations registered an earthquake on May 10, 2025 at 20:35:22 Astana time. The coordinates of the earthquake are 42.916 N and 76.766 E. The earthquake epicenter was located on the border of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, 35 km southwest of Almaty,” the report said.
In Almaty, the estimated intensity was 2 points, in Karasai (Kaskelen) – 2 points and in Kargaly – 2 points.
