Egypt and EEU agreed upon creation of free trade zone
Almaty. February 11. KazTAG - A free trade zone will be created between Egypt and the states of Eurasian Economic Union, said Abdel Fatah Al-Sisi, President of Egypt, during the joint press-conference with Vladimir Putin in Cairo, reports the RBK news agency.
"Agreements have been achieved on creation of free trade zone between Egypt and the Eurasian Economic Union," he said.
The Egyptian leader expressed hope that it will optimize trade-economic cooperation between the states.
Previously, Timur Zhaksylykov, Vice Minister of National Economy, declared that more than 30 states showed their willingness to initiate negotiations on creation of free trade zone with the Eurasian Economic Union. He added negotiations are underway with Vietnam, the states of Eurasian free trade association. Besides that Turkey, India, Israel, Egypt, and about 10 states of Latin America showed willingness to join the union.
