Egypt is interested in introducing a visa-free regime with Kazakhstan

Astana. May 26. KazTAG - Egypt is interested in introducing a visa-free regime with Kazakhstan for 14 days, the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Sports reports.

“Egypt is the third most popular destination for Kazakh tourists, and our country is interested in introducing a mutual 14-day visa-free regime with Kazakhstan. This measure could increase the flow of tourists in both directions,” said Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Kazakhstan Manal Elshinnawi.

The Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Oralov met with the Ambassador. He also suggested working out measures to increase the number of direct flights between our countries. In his opinion, Kazakhstan has something to offer guests from Egypt, including investment projects in the tourism sector of our country.

Days of culture of Kazakhstan will be held in Cairo. On June 4, Cairo will host a gala concert with the participation of Kazakh artists and an exhibition of applied art. From our country, 96 people will go there.

This year, Kazakhstan is celebrating the 800th anniversary of Sultan Beibars on a large scale. Events in honor of the anniversary of the great historical figure are held throughout Kazakhstan.

“The parties discussed holding the VI meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission in November this year. Ms. Elshinnawi, in turn, announced her intention to hold an exhibition of Islamic culture of the Mamluk period at the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Egyptian side plans to organize the event this year. Askhat Oralov expressed his readiness to assist in the implementation of this initiative,” the press service reports.
