Emergency services lack of financing in many regions of Kazakhstan - MIA

Astana. February 12. KazTAG - The emergency services lack of financing in a number of regions of Kazakhstan, said Yuriy Ilyin, Deputy Minister of Interior Affairs of Kazakhstan.
"Two years ago our departments were equipped to less than 40%. Now a Road Map is being performed which is supposed to increase the material and technical equipment, which is funded by the national and local budgets. At the expense of the republican budget, we get 100% financing. But there are a number of subsidized regions, such as the Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan regions, they lack funding for the performance of the road map, ” he said.
According to him, the East Kazakhstan region does not finance the emergency sector at all, while there is underfunding in the Kyzylorda region.
Nevertheless, “equipment has increased to 47% (of the demand - KazTAG). With the roadmap we can at least reach 80%, which would allow us to respond quickly and be sure that our units will not be harmed when the emergency is liquidated, ”Ilyin concluded.
