Epidemiological situation in Kazakhstan is developing according to optimistic scenario - Tsoi

Astana. August 3. KazTAG - The epidemiological situation in Kazakhstan is developing according to an optimistic scenario, said Alexey Tsoi, Minister of Health
“Having studied the dynamics of morbidity in the city of Nur-Sultan, taking into account the fact that for the first time this strain was detected in the capital and led to a sharp increase in the incidence rate, during the last two weeks the incidence rate has been at the same level without exceeding the incidence rate. The number of ambulance calls over the past week has decreased by 11%. Based on the forecast of the epidemiological situation for August-September, we are following an optimistic scenario, where the projected number of registered cases in August-September 2021 is about 250 thousand people, on average about 7 thousand cases per day, " he said.
In his words, "further development of the optimistic scenario is possible only if quarantine measures are observed and the coverage of vaccinations is increased."
